Earn your Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation   (see the 2008 schedule below)

 

Earning the highly-respected CISR certification shows dedication to your career and to your clients.

This outstanding intermediate-level program is geared to CSRs, company representatives, new producers and other agency staff. The course content is current, practical information, which can be readily applied in daily use. You will discover cross-selling techniques to increase your agency's bottom line.

Each CISR designation course is followed by an optional one-hour examination. To earn your CISR certification, you must successfully complete the entire series of CISR designation exams within three calendar years after passing the first exam.

William T. Hold Advanced Learning Seminar
The Advanced Learning Seminar (ALS) is a program exclusively for CISR designation holders. Join us for an ALS to network with other CISR designees and satisfy the annual update requirement for the Society of CISR.

No exam required for CE credit.

The CISR designation is composed of five modules and may be taken in any order:

Personal Residential
Approved for 8 Ohio CE credits
Improve your understanding of personal residential coverages. You will take part in an in-depth analysis of the coverage provided by the Homeowners Policy and all major endorsements and learn the similarities and differences inherent to Dwelling Policies and Homeowners Policies.

Personal Auto
Approved for 8 Ohio CE credits
Take part in an analysis of the coverage provided by the Personal Auto Policy and learn about endorsements to the Personal Auto Policy Analysis of Personal Umbrella coverages.

Commercial Property
Approved for 8 Ohio CE credits
This class will teach you the essentials for Commercial Property Insurance. Take part in an analysis of the coverage provided by the Commercial Property Policy and learn about endorsements to the Commercial Property Policy.

Commercial Casualty
Approved for 8 Ohio CE credits
This course provides an opportunity to hear an in-depth analysis of General Liability, Workers' Compensation and Commercial Auto with endorsements. You will also learn how to qualify a risk with specific questions and a checklist for prospects and renewals.

Agency Operations
Approved for 8 Ohio CE credits
Approved for E&O Loss Control Credit

In this course, you will learn about automation, agency systems and the functions of the independent agency. You will also learn methods for developing professionalism and business relationships and how ethics and legal obligations play a role in your agency's operations.

Each course is followed by an optional one-hour examination. To achieve the CISR designation, you must successfully complete the entire series of CISR examinations within three calendar years after passing the first examination.
